1958-1960 production years of this generation
1958 The second generation of the Thunderbird model, produced between 1958 and 1960, is referred to as the "Square Birds". Compared to the first generation, it was quite a bit larger and offered seating for four passengers. A convetible and a hardtop coupe were available. All three model years have double round headlights on the fender corners and a massive bumper surrounding the grill, changed every year. The grill pattern is repeated at the rear, around the rear lamps.
The '58 model has the following appearance features:
- meshes of the grill are round,
- bird emblem on the hood is small, with short wings arranged in a V,
- Thunderbird lettering on the front fender and five decorative grilles on the doors,
- double round rear lamps,
