1977-1979 production years of this generation
1977 The seventh generation of the Thunderbird model, produced between 1977 and 1979, is referred to as the "Torino Birds". Compared to the previous generation, there was a significant slimming down of the model. Only a coupe body was available, with a distinctive ribbing on the roof at the height of the B-pillar. All model years of this generation have hidden headlights, located on the sides of the slightly forward grille. The front turn signals are on the corners of the fenders. The '77 model has the following appearance features: - simple checkered grill with 12x7 pattern, - Thunderbird inscription on the driver-side headlight aperture, - full-width rear lamp is tapered at the top in the middle, - chrome emblems on the rear lamps, - narrow horizontal reversing lamps above the stop lamps,
