1924 Start of production of the model. It was produced by Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) under the name Mercedes 15/70/100 PS.
1926 Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) merges with Benz & Cie. to form Daimler-Benz AG. From now on, the company's cars are sold under the Mercedes-Benz name. The Mercedes 15/70/100 PS is renamed to Mercedes-Benz 15/70/100 PS Type 400, or simply the Mercedes-Benz Type 400.
