Ford Thunderbird 4th generation 1964-1966 (1966 convetible 2d), right side view
1964-1966 production years of this generation
1966 The fourth-generation Thunderbird model, produced from 1964 to 1966, is referred to as the "Flair Birds". A convetible, hardtop coupe and Town Sedan were available. All three model years have twin round headlights widely spaced at the corners of the fenders. The rectangular rear lamps are placed horizontally.
The '66 model has the following appearance features:
- brand new grille grill, separate from the bumper,
- emblem moved from the hood to the grill,
- Thunderbird lettering on the rear fender is the only decoration on the side,
- rectangular rear lamps divided into three segments, connected by a decorative element with an emblem,
